Narooma

Narooma was the last stop to be added to my November, 2025 road trip itinerary, and possibly my favorite. It is a peaceful coastal town that felt cinematic in both its aura and landscape. After a dandelion latte brewed out of a Froth Mobile, I walked unhurried along the beach where the Glasshouse Rocks can be found, collecting seashells and snapping photos of the impressive rock formations protruding from the water and sand, each with their own pattern and personality. In an attempt to chase the sunset, I stumbled into the most exciting part of the town: Seal Rocks. Unlike so many places named after animals but disappointingly devoid of them, sea lions napped, flopped, and frolicked on the the pile of rocks at the bar. Only the disappearance of the sun could pull me away from the feisty, playful, sassy personalities of the puppies of the sea.

"Vicinity to the sea is desirable, because it is easier to do nothing by the sea than anywhere else, and because bathing and basking on the shore cannot be considered an employment but only an apotheosis of loafing."
