From Glass House Mountains to Noosa

My first road trip in Australia was with a friend from France in a little camper van to the Sunshine Coast. We hiked in the Glass House Mountains, sweating to make it to fantastic lookout points with enviable views to watch sunrise and sunset. We waited as the moon and sun swapped places in the sky and as fog dispersed in the lush green valley below. We cooked meals on the barbie at parks as evening fell, rinsed off in water-side showers, and drank tea under a fleet of stars.

"Then something Tookish woke up inside him, and he wished to go and see the great mountains, and hear the pine-trees and the waterfalls, and explore the caves, and wear a sword instead of a walking-stick."
