Quebec
In the summer of 2024, I did a road trip from Ohio, to Quebec, to Ottawa...back to Quebec to do a via ferrata, then back to Ottawa. Quebec City is an enchanting mix of North America and France, with a mélange of the two languages that delighted the French speaker within me. The greater province has stunning landscapes that made my spirit feel light as we climbed up into the mountains. This trip made me astounded I hadn't explored our neighboring country more, and awakened a desire within me to do so.
"Quebec City is the most European of any city in North America; they speak French all the time. There is a part of town called Old Quebec which is really like being in France. The architecture is just gorgeous, food, shopping. I'd say Quebec City is the most beautiful city in North America I've seen."
