Bled, Bohinj, ljublijana, Triglav
My trip to Slovenia in 2022 was the most spontaneous trip I've ever done, and my favorite. I was revisiting Le Mans, France that summer for two months. I was made aware that Slovenia was hosting the men's world championships of volleyball, and I wanted to see France's national team play in person for the first time. Two days before their match I bought a plane ticket to Slovenia, not knowing how I was getting to the airport, how long I was going to stay, or where. What started as a trip for spectating volleyball became my favorite week of my life in a country that feels like a fairytale. The blue lake of Bled, with it's iconic island, the mountains of Triglav where I hiked for nearly ten hours on my own, the beauty of Bohinj and the best of European cities, Ljubljana. I have never been to such a photo-genic country, and never has the photography come so easily.
